Eyebrow Threading, Microblading

The list of services at a salon can be long and, if you're not familiar with it, sometimes daunting! Don't worry. If you are wondering if you should get eyebrow threading or microblading, we want to let you know that they are actually two completely different services. Both can be done during your appointment but individually, they provide completely different results. In fact, often times they are done to complement one another. So if you're wondering if you should do eyebrow threading or microblading, the simple answer is: you can do both! Eyebrow threading is simply hair removal with a thread. Your brows can be shaped and cleaned during this process. The results depend on your natural brow hairs, shape, and the artist’s skillset. Eyebrow threading is hair removal. And while there is sometimes pain involved in the process — it is, indeed, pulling hair out — it's often viewed as more of a minor discomfort. Generally, if you like keeping your eyebrows in line, you can expect to be back at the salon in another two to four weeks after getting threaded. Microblading, on the other hand, is the process of tattooing hair-like strokes into your eyebrows. It is done with a series of hand-tool blades. The idea around this is for the results to be semi-permanent in order for you to get them touched-up throughout time. You can have minor changes made to the shape during each yearly touch-up. This way your brow game is always in season and on trend, since they do fade over time. Threading clients need to come back every two to four weeks in order to maintain the shape and remove hairs that have grown back. Microblading clients come back once a year after their initial six to eight-week touchup. Threading removes hairs and microblading adds hair-like strokes with ink and a blade. The services are usually done to complement each other.
