Eyelash Extensions

If you haven't stepped into the salon for lash work, you may be wondering, "How do eyelash extensions work?" It's not very complex and first and foremost, it is generally a safe process, though make sure you understand your medical history before getting work done. An eyelash service is considered eyelash extensions when your natural lashes are isolated in order to glue an extension on the lashes. The lash extension can consist of one individual extension or if getting volume extensions, it can be anywhere from two to five extensions per individual natural lash. Volume eyelash extensions are a different, more advanced technique from the classic one to one technique. The point is, your natural eyelash must be separated from the rest in order to glue on the extension. If your natural lashes are not isolated one by one, then the service is not being performed correctly. Strip lashes and clusters do not constitute as eyelash extensions as they do not isolate natural lashes and the glue used is an over the counter glue that lasts about 24hrs. Eyelash extension glue is a medical grade glue that can hold the extension in place anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. The first full set of eyelash extensions can take anywhere from one to two hours, depending on how many natural, healthy lashes you have. After this, re-lashes can range from 30 minutes to an hour. After the 24-hr. curing period for your extensions, they should last indefinitely with regular re-lashes. Now that you know how eyelash extensions work, you can get to work on how to find the best lash extensions in your home town or city.
