Eyelash Extensions

Will eyelash extensions fall out eventually? YES! Eyelash extensions are glued individually to each eyelash; they can stay on for the life cycle of your natural lash (anywhere from 30-90 days), and fall out with your natural eyelash. Or eyelash extensions can pop off and fall out on their own during routine face washing, makeup routines, and general removal of makeup and cleansing. Eyelashes extensions fall out prematurely sometimes with use of oils, creams, glycols, excess heat and moisture exposure, sweat, and general friction to the lashes. General friction can entail, rubbing of the eyes and sleeping on your face. If the base of the extension was not secured during your lash service, this may also cause them to pop off earlier than expected. For the most part though, if your eyelash extensions are done properly, you’ve taken all necessary precautions to preserve your lashes, and you live in an environment with cool, dry temperatures, your eyelash extensions should last until your next regularly scheduled refill appointment (2-3 weeks). If you are looking to get a one-time full set of eyelash extensions for a special occasion and do not intend on getting a refill to maintain them, the last extension should come off about 6-8 weeks after the service. Sometimes, the last one can last up to 12 weeks, however, this is rare. If you don’t want the look of sparse extensions that are turning into each other without the support of other extensions, it’s recommended that you come in for removal to dissolve the glue and separate the bond between the natural eyelash and the extension for easy removal.
